Private Virtual Yoga
Right now we are all facing a set of circumstances we have likely never faced before as we all practice social distancing and self quarantine. Our personal health and wellness is more important than ever but we find ourselves not being able to complete our normal wellness routine. The overwhelming emotions and feelings combined with being stuck in our homes can lead to feeling anxious, depressed, stiff, stagnant, etc. When the news first hit my city that we would be going into lock-down my high energy, busy, on the go private yoga clients struggled with the idea of being quarantined in their apartment. Now more than ever my clients are reaping the benefit of this crazy mix of yoga and technology as we explore the benefits of private virtual yoga lessons.
Below are some of the top reasons why my private yoga clients are choosing to continue their private yoga lessons over facetime and zoom amidst a global pandemic.
Convenience
Just because we are working from home doesn't mean we are less busy. Conference calls, zoom meetings, emails, and projects are still a large part of our lives as we try to navigate the new normal. Not to mention kids are home from school and college taking up time and space in your home, making it all the more difficult to get your living room cleared out in time for that 2PM streaming yoga class. By making weekly appointments private yoga clients simply schedule a time that works with their family’s new schedule. In this uncertain and uncomfortable time getting to your yoga mat shouldn’t add stress to your life.
Schedule
Let’s be honest it’s a weird time; days turn into nights, weeks turn into weekends, and everything feels the same and also very different from the life we were living before quarantine. In a world where nothing feels the same regularly scheduled yoga lessons help clients maintain a sense of routine and schedule throughout quarantine. When your yoga teacher is waiting for you on Zoom or calling you for a facetime lesson it gives quarantine life a sense of structure and purpose.
Privacy
Everyone has different needs when it comes to privacy and though many yoga studios are offering group Zoom yoga it requires students who want more privacy to turn off their video and microphone leaving the students without any feedback from the instructor. Private virtual yoga allows the student to practice 1:1 with the teacher so any personal information about health, injuries, or feedback remains between client and instructor. Clients enjoy learning yoga without the stress of many other people
Immunity
If this time has taught us anything, it’s that our personal wellness is no longer an option. Taking amazing care of ourselves is a responsibility. Exercise in general but specifically yoga, is considered extremely important in supporting a healthy immune, lymphatic, cardiovascular, and respiratory system (all important for remaining COVID-19 free).
You can request a Playback
One of the most valuable aspects of working with a private instructor is that you can request a playback of the work you do virtually. This means you can watch and listen to your teacher between sessions to keep a consistent and structured practice schedule.
Above are just a few key bulient points outlining what our clients appreciate about virtual private yoga. Everyone is different and appreciates different aspects of yoga! We hope you and your family are staying healthy and safe during this difficult time. For more info or additional support please feel free to contact us.
